NSS Unit

The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Asorphi Academy Higher Secondary School plays a vital role in shaping responsible, compassionate, and socially conscious young citizens. Rooted in the NSS motto “Not Me, But You,” the unit provides students with opportunities to engage in meaningful community service, develop leadership qualities, and cultivate a strong sense of civic responsibility.

Objectives of the NSS Unit

Activities and Initiatives

The NSS Unit organizes various programmes throughout the year, including:

  • Cleanliness Drives (Swachh Bharat Activities): Campus and community clean-up initiatives promoting hygiene and environmental responsibility.
  • Awareness Campaigns: Programmes on health, sanitation, road safety, substance abuse, gender equality, and environmental protection.
  • Tree Plantation & Eco-Activities: Afforestation drives, plastic-free campaigns, and biodiversity awareness programmes.
  • Community Outreach: Visits to villages, orphanages, and old-age homes to support and interact with the community.
  • Health and Wellness Camps: Blood-donation awareness, first-aid training, and medical outreach activities in collaboration with health professionals.
  • Special Camps: Seven-day residential camps focusing on community development, leadership building, and social engagement (where applicable).
